Where We Are
The Savannah River Site (SRS), a 310 square mile (198,046 acres) Department of Energy site, is located in the sand-hills region of South Carolina. SRS covers parts of Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale counties along the Savannah River, and is within proximity of several major southeastern cities.
The Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is located on the Savannah River Site. Visit SRNL on the web at http://www.srnl.gov
Visiting SRS
All visitors to SRS should have a SRS-based Point of Contact or host who is responsible for your visit. Your host will make arrangements for your visitor badge in advance. Please inform your host of any accessibility needs you may have, as well as any body-worn or implanted Bluetooth-enabled medical devices or metal implants.
All visitors to SRS are expected to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the site. Shorts and flip flops are not
to be worn at SRS. All shoes must be affixed to the foot and include, at minimum, a backstrap. Some facilities may require additional personal protective equipment.
Many areas on site prohibit electronic devices, including cell phones, tablets, personal fitness devices (such as FitBits), smart watches and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Your host will discuss the specific limitations of the areas you are visiting. Photography and videography are strictly prohibited while on site.
